"Taipei Public Library Beitou Branch is the first library constructed as green building with its floor space 650 square feet. It is constructed mainly with wood and part with steel; consisted of one floor underground and two floors on the ground; looked like an enormous tree house. The library is a classical work integrating the building with nature: the power generated by solar energy, systems recycling the rain, and grand leaf of French windows brining in much sunshine. In spite of inventing a wholesome, cozy reading environment, Beitou Branch is dedicated in maintaining the ecological environment and sustainable development of the earth."[
